ASUS’ Cetra Open wireless earbuds have received their first notable price cut, dropping by $22 to about $207 from their regular $230 price, according to The Verge.
The earbuds take a different approach from traditional in-ear gaming headphones. Their audio drivers sit outside the ear canal, allowing users to hear their surroundings while still listening to game audio, music or podcasts.
The Cetra Open also come with a USB-C 2.4GHz wireless transmitter designed for low-latency gaming. A built-in charging pass-through port means users can charge their device while continuing to use the earbuds, with support for up to 60W of power.
ASUS positions the earbuds as a versatile option across gaming devices, including the Steam Deck, PC, Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, while Bluetooth connectivity makes them suitable for smartphones and everyday listening.
The Verge highlighted the earbuds’ sound quality, battery life and customization options while noting that the open design may appeal particularly to users who prefer staying aware of their surroundings.
The $22 discount is currently available through Amazon and Best Buy, bringing the price down to roughly $207.
